Frederick L. Canby, DDS, MS

Dr. Canby can claim deep roots in both the Washington, DC area and Southern California regions.  He is a graduate of Colby College, Waterville, ME, with 1 year of studies abroad at Phillips University, Marburg, Germany.  In 1988 he completed the first phase of his dental education at Georgetown University, Washington DC.   He entered the US Navy as a general practitioner and spent six years at Naval Dental Center Long Beach, California and aboard USS MISSOURI (BB63), deploying during  the first Gulf War.    In 1996, Dr. Canby completed the Endodontic Residency Program at Northwestern University, Chicago, IL.

Dr. Canby decided to return to the DC Metro area in 1996 and established his practice, Loudoun Endodontics, in Leesburg, Virginia.  Since then he has been committed to providing the highest standard of care for his patients.  He and the staff strive to provide a comfortable atmosphere and will work with patients and the many  insurance plans.

Dr. Canby continued his affiliation US Navy as a reservist. Currently CAPT Canby  is the Commanding Officer of 4th Dental Battalion.

Dr. Canby and his wife enjoy living in Western Loudoun County, Virginia with their two children.  Mrs. Canby is a teacher with Loudoun County Schools. Their daughter recently graduated from Jacobs University in Breman, Germany and will attend graduate school at Montana State University. They also have a son who is captain of the Swim team and of Field Events for Track and Field at Woodgrove High School. He will attend Virginia Tech as a member  of the Corps of Cadets
